Visions is the juried honors showcase of the year's best original student work in the Fitchburg State University's Communications Media Department. The entire campus and local community looks forward to this annual event, which consists of an Alumni Panel, Gallery Art Exhibition, and Film and Video screening.

We cordially invite you to join us in celebrating the talent and creative accomplishments of our students. Free admission, reception, and refreshments!

2025 Visions Juried Exhibition Call for Entry

You are invited to submit entries for exhibition in VISIONS, the annual juried honors exhibition of Communications Media student work.

Exhibition Opening: Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Submission Deadline: March 7 by 4 p.m. (All submissions must have been created after April 1, 2024.)

Eligibility: Any students enrolled in a Communications Media class, students on internship, and recent Alums who have created work in a Communications Media class after April 1, 2024 are eligible to submit work. All work must have been created after April 1, 2024.

Online entry forms, and submission of physical /digital entries, must be completed solely by the creator(s) of the work being entered for judging.

Submission Due Date:
All entries must be submitted by Friday, March 7 at 4 p.m.
Non-Film Video: Photo Lab Office (Conlon 350)
Film Video entries: Equipment Central (EQ) (Conlon 306)

Notification Date: Work selected for exhibition in VISIONS will be announced on March 24, 2025 on the Communications Media website and posted outside the Photo Lab (Conlon 350) and Equipment Central (Conlon 306).
Theater showcase will be posted after auditions.

Technical Theater - is not part of the Visions Juried process but may be represented in the Gallery Exhibition. Please see Jo Nazro if you have any questions.

If you are not on campus this semester because of your internship, you can still submit your work to Visions. See below for more information.

Theater entries will be posted on April 7 (after auditions).

If your work was not accepted, please pick up your physical submissions as soon as you can and please submit again for Visions 2023.

If your work was accepted for exhibition, congratulations! You will be contacted shortly by the committee and/or a representative from your concentration with further details on how to prepare your work for the exhibition.

Fitchburg State students annually compete in the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). Each year they create a marketing plan and presentation for a real world client. This year's client was Tinder. Please watch their presentation and read their plans book.
