Note Regarding Advising
Your faculty advisor will be in contact with you regarding making an advising appointment to discuss your class choices. The dates and times available for advising appointments will be at the discretion of the individual faculty advisors. Once you and your advisor meet, you will be given your alternate pin number, which will allow you to register for your classes in College Scheduler at your allotted time.
You should think about, and perhaps even select some courses prior to your remote meeting with your advisor, to begin the discussion. Consider carefully the types of courses that you choose. Try to balance your schedule to avoid taking all of your courses on the same days. Be sure to include some alternates in case your first choices close out. You can view the course schedule/seats available list online. You will notice that there is a year’s worth of seats available lists posted. This is so you can look beyond the upcoming semester for course planning purposes.
Once you have met with your advisor you should log into MyFalcon to check and see exactly when you can begin registering online for your spring courses. To do this:
- Log in to MyFalcon
- Click on Student Profile
- Click on Registration Notices
First, you will see the time period for your online registration. If you do not have a time ticket, please email us immediately at registrar@fitchburgstate.edu.
To check for any Registration Holds
- Log into MyFalcon
- Click on Holds
Please know that a hold on your account will prevent you from registering for your classes. Be sure to contact the department who placed the hold on your account early so that you don't have any issues registering when your time comes up.
If you have transfer courses or advanced placement credits, do not register for that same course, as you can only receive credit once.
If you are a Mass Transfer student, this will be noted on your degree evaluation.

Important Information on Charges for SGOCE Courses
Charges for courses offered through the School of Graduate, Online and Continuing Education (evening, Summer, Winter, and most online courses) are separate from day-school charges. If you are registered for twelve or more day-school credits, registration for a SGOCE course will result in additional charges.
