Fitchburg State was among the highest performing public institutions in Massachusetts for social mobility.

President Donna Hodge will welcome students, faculty, staff, and the community at large with a State of the University address at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Dr. Hodge was selected by the university’s Board of Trustees this April following a national search.

Dr. Hodge will join Fitchburg State from Colorado State University Pueblo, where she was most recently its Vice President of Operations and Advancement.

Dr. Hodge is currently Vice President of Operations & Advancement at Colorado State University, Pueblo, where she has worked in a variety of roles since 2010.

His tenure has included the creation of new academic programs, deepening ties between the campus and city, and navigating the challenges of the pandemic.

A comprehensive investigation is ongoing and campus members will see a heightened police presence in coming days.

President Lapidus will be recognized at the Heart of New England Council BSA's award dinner on Sept. 28.
