Fitchburg State University will host a forum on Russia’s war in Ukraine and its impact on Euro-Atlantic security at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, in the main lounge of Hammond Hall, 160 Pearl St. Admission to the talk is free and open to the public.
Professor Joshua Spero, of the university’s Economics, History and Political Science Department, and student Oscar Burgos Pimentel traveled to Poland last month and saw the impact of the invasion. The trip was part of a faculty-student research project on Transatlantic Relations and Euro-Atlantic security.
"At a critical juncture for international relations, Russia's war across Ukraine defines a transformative moment for Ukraine's existence and Euro-Atlantic security's transition to a new era," Spero said.
The program is sponsored by the university's Economics, History and Political Science Department; the Office of Student Development, and the Student Government Association.
