Dr. Howe is a full professor who has been with the University since 1998. A former graphic designer, researcher and management consultant for several firms, Dr. Howe's research interests include creativity and visual communication. Additional interests include instructional design, information design, semiotics, educational media and technology and data visualization. He last spoke at the International Visual Literacy Association conference on “Visual Literacy Guidelines for Information Design Application."
