Emergency Funding

Did you know that Fitchburg State University can assist in securing additional funds during emergency situations, or when unanticipated expenses arise? We invite you to submit a request for Emergency Funding below. A team will review your request and be in contact with how they can support you in response to your request.

Support for Emergency Funding comes in the form of institutional funds, federal aid, grants provided by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the generosity of alumni, donors and friends of Fitchburg State University. If you wish to contribute to our mission of supporting students, we welcome you to do so below, and thank you for your generous support.

Falcon Bazaar

The Falcon Bazaar Food and Necessities Pantry is a resource on campus for students experiencing food insecurity. Donations can be dropped off, or ordered directly from our wish list, and they'll be delivered to the pantry. The pantry is located in Hammond Hall, G15.

Academic Coaching and Tutoring (ACT) Center

We offer free tutoring in all majors. Meet with an academic coach or peer mentor for both academic and social support. The Placement Test Center administers required placement tests in algebra, reading, writing and foreign languages.

Care Team

The CARE Team includes representatives from across the institution, with a focus on reaching out to students whose behavior has in some way has come to the attention of others. We determine a plan of action (if deemed appropriate and needed) that is in the best interest of the student and the campus community.

Career Services and Advising Center

We support your academic and career needs through one-on-one advising, workshops, programming and events. We aim to help you connect your academic and extracurricular interests to a career.

Case Management

Case Management promotes student success and retention with the objective of reducing risk, enhancing safety and holistic well-being.

Center for Diversity and Inclusiveness

We deliver programs and support designed to contribute to a positive campus experiences and a culture of appreciation and respect for all students, staff, and faculty.

Counseling Services

Offering free and confidential mental health-oriented support. We support and educate through prevention-oriented programming, high quality treatment services, and referral for psychological difficulties that may adversely impact your capacity to fully benefit from your educational experience.

Disability Services

Empowering students with disabilities to engage in all facets of college life. We ensure that students with qualifying disabilities receive equal access to their college experience. We also help faculty, staff, students, and campus partners understand their role in helping to provide this access.

Falcon Bazaar and Professional Clothing Closet

The Falcon Bazaar Necessity and Food Pantry and Professional Clothing Closet is located in Hammond Hall, G level and serves our students, faculty, and staff who may suffer from food insecurity. It is a free service.

Financial Aid

Financial Aid assists students who, without financial assistance, would be unable to attend college.

When you're on campus, either as a resident or a commuter, you'll find a wide array of equipment and facilities is at your disposal. You're also able to seek professional medical treatment from health professionals as well.

Supporting a vibrant on-campus living experience for all students. The residential environment is designed to provide inclusive wrap-around support, helping you both in and outside of the classroom. We also collaborate with campus partners to address any of your needs.

TRIO Student Support Services

Helping qualifying students adjust to college life. We're a grant-funded program that serves students who are low-income, those who are the first-generation to attend a four-year college, and/or students with disabilities.
