Banned LGBTQ+ and Latina/o/x Book Week

Amelia V. Gallucci-Cirio Library

About This Event

Every year since 1982, libraries across the country celebrate the freedom to read with Banned Books Week. Today book challenges in libraries, particularly school and public libraries, are at an all-time high according to data collected by the ALA. As such, it is more important than ever to challenge this type of censorship—Banned Book Week is an excellent occasion to do so.
