Dedication Ceremony of the Permanent Walter F. Harrod '40 Tool Collection

Saturday, September 29, 2024 , 1 - 3PM

• 1 p.m. - Ceremony - In the Anthony Building outside of the Admissions Welcome Center
• Reception immediately following - Quad right outside of the building (rain location Liscotti Pavilion, Antonucci Science Building)

Last year at this time, a group of us started talking about how much we would like to see a permanent display of Walter Harrod’s tools in the Anthony Building. We spent days appreciating and cataloguing the entire collection. Over the past year, a small group of us have built a Cherry wood, Queen Anne Style display cabinet to house a curated selection of Walter Harrod’s tools.

We are pleased to announce the cabinet has been finished and we invite you to attend the formal donation and dedication ceremony for the permanent Walter F. Harrod ‘40 Tool Collection. The display will be housed in the Anthony Building (the former Industrial Arts building), right outside the entrance to the Admissions Welcome Center, where future generations of students can be reminded of our school’s great history. We will also celebrate the successful creation of the Industrial Arts Alumni Scholarship in Memory of Walter Harrod.
