Join Professors Scapparone and Moore on their 3 credit Luxury Brand Management program. This is an online course and travels to Milan, Italy over Spring Break 2025. Students will experience the luxury management styles, specifically marketing approaches of major brands in Europe.

Students should apply to the Center for Italian Culture (CIC) Scholarship in Academic Works in October 2024. Students will find out if they received the scholarship and the amount before the first payment due date.

Working Itinerary

March 7 Arrive at Boston Logan International airport at 2:30 p.m. for the 6:10 p.m. TAP Air Portugal departing flight TP 218 
March 8 Arrive in Lisbon at 5:35 a.m. and depart Lisbon at 7:20 a.m. on TP 822; arrive in Milan at 11:05 a.m.; Enjoy a walking tour of Milan, a self-guided tour of La Scala Museum, and welcome dinner 
March 9  Take a day trip to Bologna to see the Lamborghini Museum and take a walking tour of Bologna before returning to Milan via the train 
March 10  Have a panel discussion: Adapting Global Brands for the Italian Consumer and visit the Armani Silos Museum
March 11  Visit a local company for Italian Design: Food, Fashion, and Automotive, and explore the Brera Neighborhood and the Triennale di Milano Museum
March 12 Learn about Italian Luxury Goods in the local markets and take a self-guided tour of the Fondazione Prada
March 13 Take a day trip to Como to see the Silk Museum and the Ratti SPA Production Facilities and Outlet before taking the train back to Milan
March 14 Enjoy the Santa Maria delle Grazie Church and the Last Supper, Dimore Gallery, Nilufar Gallery, and the Palazzo Morando Museum 
March 15 Have a free day to soak up Milan before having your farewell dinner
March 16 Depart from Milan at 11:55 a.m. on TP 823 and arrive in Lisbon at 1:50 p.m.; depart Lisbon on TP 215 at 5:15 p.m. and arrive in Boston at 9:05 p.m.

Students planning to study abroad in Italy should apply to the Center for Italian Culture (CIC) Scholarship in October for Spring programs and January for Summer programs.
