Join Professors Scapparone and Moore on their 3 credit Luxury Brand Management program. This is an online course and travels to Milan, Italy over Spring Break 2025. Students will experience the luxury management styles, specifically marketing approaches of major brands in Europe.

Students should apply to the Center for Italian Culture (CIC) Scholarship in Academic Works in October 2024. Students will find out if they received the scholarship and the amount before the first payment due date.

Fri. March 7 | Arrive at Boston Logan International Airport at 2 p.m. for the 6:10 p.m. flight to Lisbon (TP 218 BOS-LIS). Arrive in Lisbon at 5:35 a.m. on March 8. |
Sat. March 8 | Depart Lisbon at 7:20 a.m. and arrive in Milan at 11:05 a.m. (TP 822 LIS-MXP). Board private coach to accommodation and check-in. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour, where you will participate in a brief Health and Safety Orientation. Get acquainted with Milan by participating in a guided walking tour of the city (Duomo Cathedral, Galleria, and Castello Sforzesco). In the evening, taste the local cuisine with group at Welcome Dinner. |
Sun. March 9 | After breakfast, take the train to Bologna (1.5 hours) and then board a private coach to the Maranello Ferrari Museum. After exploring the museum, take a private coach to Bologna where you will enjoy a walking tour. Take the train back to Milan and enjoy the remainder of the day on your own. |
Mon. March 10 | After breakfast, visit Linea Pelle and learn about leather production. In the afternoon, explore Fondazione Prada. Enjoy the evening on your own. |
Tues. March 11 | After breakfast, enjoy a luxury art and fashion company visit with presentations, discussions, Q+As, and tours. In the afternoon, explore the Brera Neighborhood (Pinacoteca di Brera gallery and Santa Maria del Carmine church). Next, visit the Triennale di Milano before enjoying the evening on your own. |
Wed. March 12 | After breakfast, visit 4-5 MNC fashion stores in the main strip. Interact with store personnel and management to learn about their product offerings complete with a tour of each facility. Enjoy the La Scala Museum. Return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day free. |
Thurs. March 13 | After breakfast, take the train to Como (1 hour) to visit the Silk Museum (Museo della Seta di Como). In the afternoon, depart for Ratti Spa Production Facilities and Outlet. After visit, board coach and return to Como to take the train back to Milan. |
Fri. March 14 | Visit the Nilafur Gallery and Armani Casa Milano. Next visit Palazzo Morando, the Santa Maria delle Grazie Church, and the Last Supper. Enjoy the remainder of the day free. |
Sat. March 15 | After breakfast, enjoy a free day in Milan. Meet for a group Farewell Dinner in the evening. |
Sun. March 16 | After breakfast, head for the airport for an 11:55 a.m. flight to Lisbon (TP 823 MXP-LIS). Arrive in Lisbon at 1:50 p.m. Depart Lisbon at 5:15 p.m. (TP 215 LIS-BOS). Arrive in Boston at 9:05 p.m. |

Students planning to study abroad in Italy should apply to the Center for Italian Culture (CIC) Scholarship in October for Spring programs and January for Summer programs.
