About the Exhibits:
COMM 2200 Font Design
Students focused on the design of upper case san serif fonts learning foundational concepts in font design, such as traditional letterform proportions, as well as the unique aspects of letterform design for optimal screen-reading. This exhibit features the students' final project, a poster that presents a full alphabet in a font of each student's own creation, as well as a design rational. See more about the poster mounting process at blog.fitchburgstate.edu/font-design-student-work-exhibitions
COMM 3810 Introduction to Graphic Design
In this class students were introduced to the foundational principles of graphic design and visual literacy, as well as developing skills in the use of digital production tools and processes. The exhibit features the student's final project of creating a graphic translation drawing based on their research of an object of their choosing.
