Interlibrary Loan
Our interlibrary service allows patrons to borrow items from other libraries, free of charge, including but not limited to articles, books, DVDs and book chapters. Interlibrary Loan service are available to current Fitchburg State University students, faculty and staff.
You may request items within your FalconSearch account. Occasionally, we also use the ILLiad software to process requests. If your request is processed in ILLiad, an email will be sent with instructions for setting up an account.
Direct delivery of physical items to your home address is only available for students who are currently enrolled in Online Learning or Extended Campus courses and faculty teaching those courses. Similarly, direct delivery to on-campus offices is available to faculty and staff. For both groups, we recommend submitting "Mail to address" in the request notes field.
To ask questions or receive guidance about our interlibrary loan service, you may speak to anyone at the library front desk, call (978) 665-3063 or email interlibrary@fitchburgstate.edu.
The following information is posted for libraries participating in the Interlibrary Loan program who would like to borrow our materials. Anyone from the general public may go to their home library (whether it is your public library, school library or special library that you are a member of) and use their Interlibrary Loan service to request materials from the Gallucci-Cirio Library. Our OCLC symbol is FTB.
Note: If you are an individual and wish to visit our library and have direct access to check circulating items out, please refer to our borrowing privileges for community members.
